My journey through public service spans twenty years, beginning in public education and human resources before serving as a Legislative Assistant at the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Working alongside Representative Earl Sears for five legislative sessions, I gained invaluable insight into the legislative process. My state service journey continued through roles at the Oklahoma Tax Commission and the Office of the State Treasurer, where I witnessed firsthand how complex state government can be.
The legislative session moves at a relentless pace, with thousands of bills passing through committees and floor debates within a short 16-week window. During deadline weeks, meetings and sessions often stretch late into the evening.
